Answering y'alls questions!
On June 14, 2019 my life changed forever. I married my best friend, my other half, my partner in crime, and the love of my life. Yes, we did get married at 18 and it was the best decision I have ever made. I got so many questions on why we got married so young and the truth is, it was because we love each other. There was so many rumors spread about us. People thought we got married because they thought I was pregnant or that I wanted free college since Justin was joining the Army (I don't get free college, Justin does). There was many more rumors but I don't want list them all because they are just ridiculous. Justin and I talked about getting married for quite a while it wasn't like: "Hey lets get married!" We talked about everything! Since Justin was joining the military that would mean I would have to move to wherever we were stationed. We talked about how I would be able to do school and still be together despite moving a couple times because of the Army. We talked about how we were going to make car payments, college, furniture, internet, etc. We also talked about if it was Gods plan for us to get married. We prayed a whole lot and I mean a whole lot! We both wanted to get married but we wanted to make sure it was the plan he laid out for us. If it wasn't Gods will we wouldn't have gotten married at the time we did. He spoke to us in so many ways and answered all of questions!
"Were yalls parents supportive?" I get asked that question a lot. The answer is yes! Justins parents were all for it and they were really happy for us. Justin asked my parents for their blessing and they were so supportive. My parents saw how happy Justin makes me and how much I have changed. They saw how much Justin loves me and how much I love him! They did asked a lot of questions because I'm their little girl and I will always be their little girl. But they were still really happy for us and very supportive. We even went to talk to my pastor to talk about what the Bible says about marriage.
Here are some verses if you are thinking of getting married or even if you are already married:
-Romans 12:10
-1 Corinthians 13:2
-1 Corinthians 6:16-17
-2 Corinthians 6:14
-1 Peter 4:8
-Ephesians 4:32
-Ecclesiastes 4:12
-Mark 10:9
"Why didn't y'all wait?" Another question we get asked a lot! Why wait when you know you found the one!
"Are y'all going to have a real wedding?" Yes we are! We aren't to sure when but probably after Justin is out of the Army. We got married through the court because Justin was about to leave for the Army and we were 18 and didn't have money lol!
I hope this answered some of yalls questions and it gave you a little insight about Justin and I and our journey!
